This work comprises translations of the Syriac versions of The Life of St. Anthony attributed to Athanasius, The Paradise written by Palladius, The Rule of Pachomius, and The History of the Monks. Matthew Spinka noted this was an essential work of the Egyptian Monastics. Both volumes hardcover with spine labels. Some light spotting to the label on volume one and a small tear to the heel of volume two, otherwise an attractive set in textured tan boards.
